As we prepare for our Operation S.E.N.D. Christmas packages, we need YOUR help with something truly special — handwritten cards and letters for our deployed troops!

The snacks, toiletries, and other items we pack can be purchased in a store, but a handwritten card filled with encouragement, gratitude, and appreciation? That takes someone like YOU. ❤️

Imagine being far from home during the holidays and opening a care package to find a personal message from someone back home, reminding you that you're thought about, appreciated, and never forgotten. Those few handwritten words can mean more than you know.

✉️ Here's how you can help:

Write a card or letter thanking a service member for their sacrifice and service.

Share words of encouragement, holiday wishes, or a simple reminder that someone back home cares.

Ask your family, friends, coworkers, church, school, or community group to join you!

📬 Please have your cards and letters arrive by November 3rd, if possible, so we can include them in our Operation S.E.N.D. Christmas packages before they ship.

As Hispanic Heritage Month ends, DAR celebrates the enduring contributions of Hispanic people and the important role they played in the story of American independence.

Last September, DAR and the Queen Sofía Spanish Institute co-hosted Spain and the Birth of American Democracy, a symposium exploring Spain’s contributions to the American Revolution. Through DAR’s genealogical resources and ongoing research, we continue to uncover the stories of Patriots from diverse backgrounds who contributed to the cause of American independence. As we prepare to celebrate the Military Women’s Memorial’s 29th anniversary and honor this year’s remarkable Patriot Leadership Award recipients, we are especially proud and deeply grateful to recognize the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) as the Presenting Sponsor of our 2026 Patriot Leadership Award Gala!

Our relationship with NSDAR is one rooted in a shared commitment to honoring service, preserving history, and ensuring that the extraordinary contributions of America's military women and the women who served with US Armed Forces, are never forgotten.

Long before the Military Women’s Memorial opened its doors in 1997, the Daughters of the American Revolution believed in our mission and helped make our vision a reality.
