So much to be thankful for in our first year as a Foundation, and so much to look forward to!

Tonight, 30 scholarships totaling $19,500 were awarded to PFHS seniors. Many of these scholarships have long existed, but this was the first year they were housed under the Foundation, allowing us to support even more students—thanks to our generous donors and supporters.

A huge thank-you to Dr. Billy Wilson, Mrs. Pam Brackins, and our Board of Directors for their dedication and belief in our mission.

Next year, we hope to double—or even triple—the number of scholarships and total funds awarded to seniors. If you’re interested in partnering with us to make that possible, send us a message and we’ll be happy to share more information!

Another PFHS Foundation scholarship has been awarded: the Brackins Family Scholarship to both Marlon Antunes (TTU) and Kylie Reddell (ETSU).

With both well achieving in the classroom, Marlon was chosen for his leadership in the band program while Kylie was selected for her tenacity on the volleyball court which was very representative of the daughters in the Brackins Family: Kayla (‘07), Molly (‘09), and Mindy (‘13).

Pictured presenting the award to them both is Mrs. Pam Brackins, the mother of the ladies mentioned.

71!

That’s the number of alumni—dating back as far as 2006—who returned to sing and perform alongside Miss Pam Russell one last time. And that doesn’t even include the many more who filled the audience to cheer her on.

What a powerful testament to the impact, legacy, and love of a teacher who poured into her students year after year.

Enjoy your well-earned retirement, Miss Pam Russell! 💐✨

Our very 1st PFHS Foundation scholarship is awarded to Isabella Hamilton who has received the Red Rudder Memorial Scholarship. Isabella was chosen for her student-leadership on and off the soccer field which was very representative of Red’s children when they attended PFHS.

Pictured presenting the award to Isabella is Carrie Rudder Riggs, the daughter of Red and a PFHS Class of 2004 graduate.

Congratulations again, Isabella. We’re honored to cheer you on as you attend ETSU in the fall.
