Congratulations Sue!
At the March meeting, Sue Barker was named our 2025 Woman of the Year. Sue is an inspiration to us all. She is kind, caring and generous with her time and resources. Not only is she a treasured member of ABWA but she is well known and beloved in our community. This award was designed so that every Chapter can annually recognize a member who has made notable contributions and outstanding achievements. Being named Woman of the Year is a great honor — one that's highly respected by ABWA members. Judging is done by persons who have no affiliation with our local ABWA chapter, with consideration given for ABWA participation and accomplishments, career accomplishments, community involvement and education achievements. Sue is deserving in every way. Please tell her congratulations on being named Woman of the Year next time you see her!

Smoky Mountain Sevier ABWA is pleased to name Rebekah Hill 2024 Woman of the Year. This award was designed so that every Chapter can annually recognize a member who has made notable contributions and outstanding achievements. Our hearts are heavy today after learning of the passing of our dear sister and friend, Francis Lofton. Francis was a kind, smart, beautiful lady who was such an inspiration to us. She was a beloved and faithful ABWA member and it was our honor and privilege to know her. We miss her already so much. Our prayers are with her family at this difficult time.
