Join Us This Morning

Good morning, friends. You’re welcome to start the day with us at Community Christian Assembly. Coffee and a light breakfast are ready at 9:30, then we gather for worship at 10:00. After a long, soggy week come and sit with Jesus and with one another. Come as you are—we’d love to see you.

God is the God of hope, and He wants to fill you with joy and gratitude.

The Holy Spirit, your Comforter and Empowerer, is the one who makes that hope overflow in ordinary moments—when you’re driving the back roads, sitting at the kitchen table, or lying awake at night. You don’t have to manufacture strength; He gives it.

Jesus cares for you right where you are, in the middle of the struggle, He is near.

If you’d like to worship with people who know this same hope, join us tomorrow morning. Coffee and a light breakfast begin at 9:30, and worship starts at 10:00. You are welcome.

“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” — Romans 15:13, NKJV

There is so much facing each of us every day. Maybe its family issues, health concerns, bills, repairs that need done....it can wear us down and steal our hope for a better tomorrow. But hope isn't pretending that is small. Hope is Jesus still with you in Pierson, and the Holy Spirit filling what feels empty. You do not have to manufacture joy. God of hope does that work as you keep believing, one ordinary day at a time. Coffee and a light breakfast are at 9:30 Sunday, and worship is at 10. Come and let the King of Kings fill you with hope.

Exodus 14:14
“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”

Some battles are not yours to win by pushing harder. Israel stood at the sea with the army behind them, and God told them to stop striving and trust Him. Stillness here is not giving up. It is handing the fight to the One who already knows the way through. So when you’re facing your sea with an army at your back and you know you can’t make a miracle, get on your knees, pray, fast if you must, and ask God what He has planned for your battle. His power is made perfect in our weaknesses.

“It is not really stranger, nor less strange, that my prayers should affect the course of events then that my other action should do so. They have not advised or change God‘s mind, that is, His overall purpose. But that purpose will be realized in different ways according to the actions, including the prayers, of His creatures.” - C.S. Lewis, The World‘s Last Night.
