So much gratitude to Pierre Players for giving these survivors a safe platform to share their journeys, and to the cast and crew who gave their time and talents to tell each story with the care and respect it deserved.
To everyone who filled the audience, thank you for showing up, listening, and helping raise money to support survivors during some of the scariest and most uncertain moments of their lives.
Most importantly, thank you to the survivors and their families who trusted this process. You allowed us to share not only the barriers and fear you faced, but also the strength, hope, humor, and victories that became part of what came next.
Leaving a dangerous situation is rarely one single brave moment. Sometimes it’s a quiet decision, a phone call, a packed bag, a door closing, or simply believing for the first time that a different life is possible. This production was a reminder that those moments matter and that on the other side of them, there can be safety, healing, joy, and a whole new story still waiting to be written.

Our Walking Home performance may be over, but the impact continues.
Thanks to everyone who attended, supported, shared, volunteered, and helped bring this powerful story to the stage, Pierre Players Community Theatre raised $1,121 in support of the Missouri Shores Domestic Violence Center.
Every dollar will help support the important work Missouri Shores does for individuals and families affected by domestic violence.
