Oahe Habitat is thrilled to highlight another incredible advisory committee member, Jennifer Soma!

Jennifer has served on the Oahe Habitat for Humanity Advisory Committee since it was re-established, helping support the Habitat mission in the Pierre/Fort Pierre area. When she’s not volunteering, Jennifer has spent over 27 years helping clients write their financial stories. She’s a financial representative with Thrivent in the 1429 Financial Group, with offices in Brookings, Pierre, and Watertown. Jennifer takes the time to understand her clients’ goals and dreams, celebrating their milestones and supporting them through unexpected challenges. She earned her degree in Business Economics and Spanish from South Dakota State University.

Jennifer and her husband, Randy, have three daughters: Grace, a junior at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln; Addison, a freshman at Augustana; and Senja, a sophomore at TF Riggs. In her free time, Jennifer enjoys fitness, officiating volleyball, cheering on her daughters, discovering new restaurants, traveling, and spending time on the water fishing and boating with her family. The family moved to Pierre when Randy accepted a position with the South Dakota High School Activities Association. Jennifer is also active in Rotary International, NAIFA, and has served on numerous boards and committees across South Dakota.
