Pierre-Fort Pierre Kiwanis Service to the South Dakota communities of Pierre and Fort Pierre is at the heart of our club. Our weekly meetings are relaxed, educational and a good time!

Our 45 members contribute hundreds of hours each year in volunteer efforts, host fundraising events and contribute more than $15,000 back into our communities. The Pierre-Fort Pierre Kiwanis Club meets each Monday at noon in the Perkins meeting room (217 E Hustan Ave., Fort Pierre). You're invited to attend to learn more about the club's efforts and enjoy the noon hour with us. We are always welco

me new, service-minded members. The board meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month in the meeting room at Perkins. Board meetings are open to all Pierre-Fort Pierre Kiwanis members.

Our new story for the month of July is now installed! “The Bugliest Bug” by Carol Diggory Shields follows Dilly the damselfly as she attends the Bugliest Bug Contest and discovers the judges aren’t what they seem. With charming, vintage-inspired illustrations and a fun, fast-paced story, this tale celebrates bravery, quick thinking, and plenty of buggy fun.

NEW THIS MONTH: Get ready to march like an ant and whirl like a whirligig with our supplemental movement markers on each panel. Look for them below the page spread!

Officials with the Pierre-Fort Pierre Kiwanis Club, City of Fort Pierre and donor organizations gathered the morning of June 12 to dedicate the new Kiwanis StoryWalk at Lilly Park in Fort Pierre. Special recognition goes to Kiwanian Kristin Gabriel for leading the effort to make the project happen. People can walk along the path and read a book. People or businesses interested in donating can make a check payable to "Kiwanis Club" and mailing it to Pierre-Fort Pierre Kiwanis, PO Box 15, Pierre, SD 57501.
