In 1955, the Zonta Club of Pierre-Fort Pierre was formed. On Sunday, November 23, 2025, we celebrated 70 years of service and advocacy in the Pierre and Fort Pierre area and toasted to the next 70 years of building a better world for women and girls.

Celebrating 70 Years of Service and Advocacy in the Pierre-Fort Pierre area!

On November 21, 1955, the Zonta Club of Pierre-Fort Pierre was chartered with 22 members. The Pierre-Fort Pierre club was the third Zonta International club chartered in South Dakota, behind the Zonta Club of the Black Hills in 1950 and the Zonta Club of Aberdeen in 1953.

We had a great summer at the Zonta Garden! We harvested a total of 744 lbs. of fresh vegetables. Doing our part fighting food insecurity in the Pierre and Fort Pierre Communities.
