Come to Oahe Downstream Recreation Area this morning, July 11, 2026 from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm.
The 12th annual Little Wings Festival taking place at the butterfly garden near the park's Welcome Center.

Come visit with Prairie Potters Master Gardeners Jackie, Mary Beth, and Josh and all the other great booths celebrating and sharing about SD pollinators.

There are activities and teaching stations to learn more about SD pollinators.

🎉Congratulations to the Prairie Potters Master Gardeners on being awarded a 2026 Earl Dailey Memorial Endowment Grant in the amount of $500.

The Oahe YMCA has a summer camp for 140+ kids ages 3-10. Prairie Potters Master Gardeners Club plans to partner with the YMCA staff, kids, and the Oahe Zap baseball team to help develop a space for raised bed planters and flowers. The group will plant vegetables and flowers with the kids and leads hands-on learning activities. This will be the onset of a partnership with the Y that the group hopes will be an annual project.

We are excited to see the learning that will occur in this project as we grow our future generation of gardeners.
