💚 During Mental Health Awareness Month, we had the opportunity to visit some amazing students and staff to share Gizmo’s Pawesome Guide to Mental Health! 🐾🧠

A huge THANK YOU to:
📚 the Classroom
📚 Stanley County School District
📚 St. Joseph Catholic School

Thank you for welcoming us into your schools and allowing us to talk with students about feelings, coping skills, kindness, and the importance of taking care of our mental health. 💚

Helping kids learn that it’s okay to talk about their emotions and ask for help is one of the best ways we can build stronger, healthier communities. We loved spending time with your students and hope Gizmo helped make mental health conversations fun, approachable, and meaningful! 🐶✨

This morning on KCCR, we continued our conversation about Mental Health Awareness Month by focusing on Maternal Mental Health Month and the importance of supporting parents before and after childbirth.

Maternal mental health conditions, including postpartum depression and anxiety, are common and treatable, yet many parents struggle in silence because of stigma or fear of asking for help.

A few important reminders from today’s conversation:
💙 Mental health is part of overall health
💙 Asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness
💙 Checking in on parents and caregivers can make a real difference

If you or someone you know may be struggling, support is available. Talk with a healthcare provider, mental health professional, or trusted support person.

📞 If you or someone you know is in crisis or needs immediate support, call or text 988 to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.

You are not alone, and help is available.

💚 Good days look different for everyone. 💚

For some, a good day means feeling productive.
For others, it means simply making it through the day, finding a moment of peace, or asking for help when it’s needed.

There’s no “right” way to define a good day — only what feels meaningful and manageable for you.

As we recognize Mental Health Awareness Month, let’s continue to support one another, reduce stigma, and remind people they are never alone. Together, we can create more good days. 🌱
