Drought, frost, and other stress conditions can increase nitrate and prussic acid levels in many summer annual forages. Stop by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln building at Husker Harvest Days to visit with our livestock team about managing risk and pick up nitrate and prussic acid testing kits.

Look for ripe fruits and vegetables and help gather them together. Sorting, washing, and celebrating the harvest builds pride and responsibility.

📢 State Fair Project Drop-Off Reminder

Tuesday, August 25th is the drop-off day for State Fair projects at the Pierce County Extension Office. We will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

You are also more than welcome to drop off your projects ahead of time! This week, we are open Monday–Friday from 8:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. and 1:00–4:30 p.m.

Don’t forget to bring your supporting information with your projects!
