🎨 Creativity was on full display this weekend!
PLACES proudly hosted our annual Youth Art Contest during Piedmont Founder's DAY Piedmontokfoundersday.org, and we were blown away by the incredible talent from young artists across our community!
👏 A huge thank you to every participant who shared their work with us — your creativity and passion lit up the event! And special thanks to our amazing judges who generously volunteered their time to recognize and celebrate these budding artists.
🏆 Prizes were awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners across multiple age categories, and we’re so grateful to everyone who made this celebration of art from our community possible.
📅 Missed it this year? No worries — we’ll be announcing the 2026 theme and program even earlier, so keep an eye out and keep working on your masterpiece!

Guess who has a new website?! While this is still very much a work in progress, we're excited to create an online hub to stimulate membership and growth of PLACES in order to support the Piedmont Public Library as it enriches the lives of Piedmont citizens.

Each year, PLACES sponsors the student art show and contest at Piedmont Founder's DAY Piedmontokfoundersday.org . Our Piedmont Public Library purchased a couple of pieces from the show, and they are now framed and on display at the library.

Become a member of the Piedmont Library and Cultural Events Society to help sponsor cultural and arts activities throughout the community and to support library programming.

El Reno Carnegie Friends of the Library would like to invite your to their upcoming book sales to support the El Reno Carnegie Library. What a great opportunity to snag some low-cost books while supporting one of our sister libraries!

It's time to start planning your entries for the 2024 Kids Art Contest sponsored by the Piedmont Library and Cultural Events Society (PLACES) and held at Piedmont Founders Day.

Kids aged 4-18 are encouraged to submit their works to the Piedmont Public Library for PLACES to collect and display at Founders Day. Winners receive Hobby Lobby gift cards up to $50. This year's theme: Favorite Places!!

Entry forms are available at the Piedmont Public Library, on the library website (https://www.piedmont.okpls.org/), on PLACES social media, and on the Founders Day website (https://www.piedmontfoundersday.com/).

Jenny Merchant served up snacks and smiles at the Piedmont Public Library Summer Soundwaves teen concert. PLACES sold concessions at this event to raise funds to support or library and cultural events in the community.
