Piedmont Park

Piedmont Park Community Park donated in 1918 to all the children of Piedmont. Playground, picnic shelter, benches, memorial gardens, public library on land.

The Land that the Piedmont Park encompasses was donated in 1918 by Captain C V Gardner and donated to " All the children of Piedmont". On this land you will find: A Memorial Garden and Grounds, a Playground, basketball court, A Picnic Shelter, several benches and picnic tables and a Community Library. The Park is overseen by an all volunteer board and operates on a very limited budget through the City of Piedmont.

Reminder - food drive is this Thursday 4 - 6pm. See below for traffic flow so we can get everyone in and out as quickly as possible.

"FOOD ACROSS AMERICA" - in cooperation with Volunteers of America, Post 311 Legion & Auxiliary, and the Foot Hills Chamber of Commerce, there will be a food distribution event at Post 311 on April 22nd from 4 - 6pm. There will be 60 boxes containing 1lb/ea. fresh veggies/fruits, 1lb. pre-cooked meats (i.e. roasted chicken), + 1gal milk (fresh) ((specific contents vary based on what is donated to feeding SD)).

It will be provided drive thru style (no need to come in to the bldg) on a first-come-first-serve basis. There is no cost or income verification required.

Volunteers will be wearing mask and it is highly encouraged but not required for those picking up the food boxes to wear mask as well.

The bricks are down. We still have to cut in the edges, but we are so close to being done with the new area.

Thank you to our board members and their spouses who have worked on the bricks the last three days: Amy J Bannister, Curt Smalll, Kris James, Marlene Jensen Kullbom and Matthew Kullbomt, Ce Faulkner and Chris Faulkner. Also volunteers Kris Weinberger and Tanya Weinberger and Phil Anderson.
