Annual hose testing. One of the necessary things our department must do to ensure our equipment is ready to serve our community.

Great job ladies!

It’s not that often that our EMS providers are able to reconnect with patients we come in contact with in the field. Back in March, this patient needed life saving interventions after his heart stopped pumping blood(VFib). Luckily, the patient was with our providers and they were able to defibrillate and convert the patient back into Normal Sinus rhythm. Patient care was transferred to the hospital where he stayed for another week.

We were so grateful for the opportunity to be able to arrange a reunion with our providers.

If you’re looking for a great way to give back and help your community look no further. Pickford Fire Department has openings for firefighters. We provide fire protection and emergency medical response to Pickford and Marquette Townships. All training and equipment will be provided. This is a paid on call department so you would receive a small stipend every month to help offset any expenses (Gas and so forth) you may have while volunteering for runs and training sessions. If your interested in being a part of one of the greatest groups of people you have ever met please message on here or call 906-440-6816

Chippewa County Central Dispatch is aware of an intermittent and widespread phone outage affecting the South and East sides of the county.

Due to this outage, some citizens may experience degraded service or no service at all.

Out of an abundance of caution, we have communicated with the first responder agencies in those locations to assist with emergency notifications and emergency service requests.
