Windmiller Ponds Community Update:
This summer, we asked for your feedback on potential community improvements—such as benches, gazebos, walking paths, river rock, and lighting around the ponds. While these ideas remain of interest, the Board believes it’s prudent to focus on maintaining our current resources given the rising costs of OMNI management fees, pond fountain maintenance, and other potential unforeseen expenses.
Recently, we encountered an issue with the fountain in the pond off McMunn Street. The initial estimate for replacement came in at $30,000—a 200% increase from the cost of replacing the Boggs Court Pond fountain just last year. Fortunately, the issue was minor and required only a $2,500 cable repair. Given these increasing costs, the Board decided it was in the community’s best interest to repair the cable and preserve funds for future replacements of the fountains on Washington and McMunn when needed.
If the community remains interested in pursuing the improvements mentioned earlier, we would like your input on whether you’d support an increase in annual dues (up to $200–$300 per year) to fund these projects. Please note, even with an increase, there would be a delay in implementation to allow time for adequate funds to accumulate.
We are here to serve the best interests of Windmiller Ponds and appreciate your feedback and engagement.
Food Truck Interest
As the season winds down, we’d like to know if there’s interest in hosting a food truck event before the weather turns. The Board is considering either a taco truck or a burger truck, depending on community preference.
Please let us know:
If you’d be interested in attending

A minimum number of attendees is required for a vendor to visit, so your response will help us move forward. PLEASE NOTE, We cannot use HOA funds to purchase food. Each person would have to purchse their own food.
