Located in the Oolenoy Valley region of the South Carolina Foothills, the Oolenoy Community House if the home of the annual Pumpkin Festival and a weekly bluegrass jam. The bluegrass jam at Oolenoy is a long-standing tradition that originated in the early 1990's providing a place for the local community to come and share tunes and songs in the tradition of rural acoustic music, which focuses aroun
d the string-band instruments banjo, fiddle, mandolin, guitar, bass; as well as others from the rural country and mountain tradition, autoharp and dulcimers. There's a coffee pot, cold drinks, and snacks available. Donations accepted to help pay for rent.

The Pumpkin Festival has been around for over 40 years and gathers arts and crafters from all over the country as well as providing a stage full of bluegrass music all day for the attendees to enjoy. Food is always a part of the enjoyment with BBQ chicken, BBQ pork, ribs, smoked sausages, hotdogs, and other items. Be sure to stay until some of the young folks participate in the grease pole climb that usually happens at 4pm.
