It is with a heavy heart that we announce the cancellation of our Living History Event at Picacho Peak State park on March 21-22 due to a forecast of temperatures over 100° and possibly as high as 110°.

This forecast shows it to be just too hot and getting to the point of dangerous conditions and the ACWC doesn't wish to put any one of its members or the public in a situation that might end up being life threatening.

We were all really looking forward to the event and had great ideas and plans for it but it's just too risky.

We have rescheduled it for next November.

We apologize to all that had made plans to come to Picacho Peak and we hope to see you at Fort Verde for our next event which is the "History of the Soldier" on April 11-12, 2026.
