2nd Annual 5K and 1 Mile Community Collaborative Event
Two nonprofit organizations that help neighbors help neighbors are joining together to create an inclusive community event. Orion Communities has been a grassroots organization addressing unmet needs for the most vulnerable in our community. This includes individuals and families who are living with the hardships of poverty, illness or disabilities, to help them move towards a brighter future. The Phoenixville Area Time Bank enables person to person exchanges of talent and time to build a resilient community--a virtual neighborhood. PATB members also join together and volunteer in groups to support our nonprofit partners like Orion.
The stars are aligning to help our neighbors in need through a collaborative community event where you can run, walk, ride a wheelchair or push a stroller. We invite you to be part of a fun happening - Neighbors Helping Neighbors Run, Walk n’ Roll! Join in as an individual, a team from your office, neighborhood or community group and as a sponsor.
We will start and end at the new pavilions at Charlestown Township Park. The course will have participants navigate around the beautiful park and University of Valley Forge campuses. We love your dogs – they can join you on the 1M Walkn Roll but NOT the 5K due to park rules.
