Phoenixville Area Positive Alternatives About PAPA Phoenixville Area Positive Alternatives offers the only formal, structured programs for youth aged 7-17 in the Phoenixville area.

PAPA's academic programs offer a safe haven during out-of-school hours where students receive homework help, life and social skills development, and most importantly, support to achieve academic excellence. PAPA's athletic programs help build foundations for physical skills, good sportsmanship, and positive self-esteem.

🏀 URGENT: Youth Basketball Coach Needed! 🏀

We’re looking for a passionate and reliable Basketball Coach to coach this summer — and we need you ASAP!

📅 Starts: Immediately - Opening day games are June 7
🧒 Ages: 11-13
📍 Game Location: Reservoir & C'Jon Saunders Parks
🕐 Schedule: Sundays afternoons + some weekday evenings for rescheduled games. Practices are all scheduled by coaches and their availability - at least1 practice a week is recommended.

Experience with coaching or working with kids preferred!

The 2025 PAPA Summer Basketball League assessments are happening TODAY!

👉 Arrive 10–15 minutes early to check in
👉 No ball needed—just bring your skills and maybe some water 💧
👉 Can’t make it? No worries—you’ll still be placed on a team!

Once teams are drafted and finalized, your coach will reach out next week with details. Practice schedules will come directly from them.

🗓️ First games tip off Saturday, June 7 at Reservoir Park—game schedule coming soon!

Assessment Location - Phoenixville Recreation Center, ​501 Franklin Ave

7-10 division - 11:30am
11-13 division - 12pm
14-17 division - 12:30pm

Once you’ve finished your assessment, you’re all set—feel free to head out and enjoy the rest of your day!

🗣 CALLING ALL COACHES! 🗣

PAPA is looking for dedicated volunteer coaches for our 7-10 year old bracket and 14-17 year old bracket.

🏀 Basketball Assessments - May 10th at the Phoenixville Rec Center
🏀 The season kicks off on June 7th, and goes until mid August.
🏀 Games are every Sunday, and practices are determined by each coach on a weekly basis.
🏀 Coaches must have their Child and Criminal Background clearances.
