The Code Blue Overnight Emergency Warming Center provides an emergency, cold weather, overnight center for men, women and children in accordance with Chester County’s definition of Code Blue that is date defined – mid-November to mid-April. The intent is to provide a place to stay for the night for anyone from the Phoenixville area who is in need. Our guests are welcome as long as they act in a ma

nner that allows us to provide a safe and welcoming environment for all. The program is provided from 8 PM to 8 AM, seven days a week. Our Story

The Code Blue Overnight Emergency Warming Center provides an emergency, cold weather, overnight center for men, women and children in accordance with Chester County’s definition of Code Blue that is date defined – mid-November to mid-April. The intent is to provide a place to stay for the night for anyone who is in need. Our guests are welcome as long as they act in a manner that allows us to provide a safe and welcoming environment for all. The program is provided from 8 PM to 8 AM, seven days a week, with one paid staff member and two volunteers per shift each night. With the use of volunteers to support shift coverage, we aim to have at least one man and one woman on duty at all times, especially when there are female guests or children. During a severe weather event the center may remain open throughout the day in order that guests may have a safe and warm place to shelter from the storm. http://www.annsheart.org/programs/code-blue
