If Luka Plantić beats Lester Martinez on August 29, the most logical next target would be Christian Mbilli, the current WBC super-middleweight world champion. Martinez is defending the WBC interim title against Plantić, so a Plantić victory would put Luka in a very strong position for a shot at the full WBC championship.

There is an important wrinkle: Mbilli is expected to fight Canelo Álvarez in October 2026. So Plantić’s next opponent could depend heavily on who wins that fight.

So the potential path is:

Plantić beats Martinez → becomes WBC interim champion → positions himself for the WBC champion → potentially Mbilli or Canelo.

That means Luka is potentially two wins away from being in a truly major world-title fight. At 13–0 with 10 KOs, beating Martinez would be a substantial jump in his international profile.

Acclaimed Croatian actress and singer-songwriter Elis Lovrić is an artist of rare and distinctive expression, whose work unites music, poetry, theatre, and cultural heritage into a deeply moving performance.

For more than two decades, she has created an original body of work rooted in the Labin dialect, transforming local tradition into a universal artistic language. Writing and singing in more than 15 languages and dialects, Elis builds bridges between cultures, bringing her voice to audiences across Europe, Japan, and Brazil.

Her celebrated original projects include Kanat od mora, Merika, Two Seas, and A Story of Music and Stone. Elis Lovrić is also the first Croatian singer-songwriter to perform at the European Parliament in Brussels and Strasbourg, and the recipient of numerous national and international recognitions, including the EWILA – European Women’s International Leadership Award 2025.

The performance will be accompanied by Danijela Kos, PhD candidate cellist at McGill University in Montreal.
