Verve Studios’, Amanda Melby, shows you how Action Verbs can transform your work! You’ll learn how they can create variety, get you out of your actor head, and provide a way into spontaneity and authentic moment to moment work.

Actors should bring a printed, prepared one-minute monologue, or a recent scene they’ve worked to the workshop.

Limit: 25 actors age 18 and up.

WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES:

Actors will learn what Action Verbs are.
Actors will learn how to apply Action Verbs to their acting.
Actors will learn how Action Verbs can transform their work.
Actors will select verbs for their prepared monologues or scenes.
Volunteers will be selected to work through their prepared monologues with the action verbs.
All participants will be provided a list of Action Verbs and will identify their “back pocket” Verbs.
