Hike the Pipe

Hike the Pipe We are fighting against the Jordan Cove Energy and Pacific Connector projects a 232-mile LNG pipelin Hike the Pipe! We are planning a hike of epic proportions.

The Jordan Cove Energy Project is a proposal to build a 232 mile pipeline and the West Coast's first LNG export terminal. This pipeline would clearcut hundreds of miles of forest, cross more than 400 rivers and streams, and seize private property from hundreds of rural landowners. Using Eminent Domain as their tool, Veresen, the Canadian contractor, and the federal government will seize the land o

f hundreds of property owners across Oregon in order to install the pipeline. is a project that hopes to build solidarity between Oregonians by raising awareness about the project. It will take place over three sections along the entire length of the proposed pipeline. Along the way, we will hold 4 events where community members will come together to help raise awareness of the issue and build solidarity with the hikers. Together we can create a movement against the unfettered expansion of fossil fuels. For more information about the project, watch our short documentary at www.36inchesmovie.com or email us at [email protected]. We need any and all assistance you are willing to offer in order for this project to succeed. Come Hike the Pipe!
