🐾 Meet Wolfie 🐾

At just 1½ years old, Wolfie is everything you could want in a best friend. This handsome brindle Shepherd mix is full of life, love, and adventure! He absolutely loves playing with other dogs, chasing toys, and showing off his fetch skills. If there’s water involved, even better! Wolfie is a huge fan of the hose and splashing around whenever he gets the chance. 💦

Not only is he playful and fun, but he’s also incredibly sweet and affectionate. Whether you’re looking for a hiking buddy, a playmate for your dog, or a loyal companion to share life’s adventures with, Wolfie is ready to be your guy. 🐶

Wolfie is waiting patiently(117 days in kennel) for his forever family and would make an amazing addition to just about any home.

Welcome Tommy, Louise, and Thelma to the Desert Haven Family! 🐶🐶🐶 We pulled these 3 babies from Casa Grande Animal Care & Adoption Center- where they all were waiting months and months for their forever! We were hoping they’d get adopted at our big adoption event, but they have not been yet! 🥺 So, we have them boarded at the amazing BUT- this is where we NEED SOME HELP FROM THE COMMUNITY 🫶🏼 It’s $20 a day- per dog. $140 a week per dog. Around $600 a month PER DOG! With that being said- we are in desperate need of donations to keep them there until we find fosters or adopters for each of them 🙏🏼 We could even use jsome sponsors, to sponsor each dog for their stay.. or even a week of their stay! Anything helps us, and allows us to continue our mission! 🐾 We are extremely grateful for all and any support! 🫶🏼

Who is in for our wine tasting event? Please join us for a wine tasting fundraiser!! This event will be on June 27th, Saturday at Mise en Place wine bar located at 13610 N Scottsdale rd, ste 14, Scottsdale, AZ, from 4 - 6 PM.

Tasting is fee is $35 and will be paid at the location. No reservation is needed. Just show up and enjoy some wine, and snacks! 100% of the tasting fee goes to

290 Days. That’s how long Thelma has been waiting. 💔

Since August 19, 2025, Thelma has watched countless dogs leave the shelter while she continues to wait for someone to see just how special she is.

This beautiful 2-year-old Husky mix has so much love to give. She is incredibly friendly, social with other dogs, and always ready to make a new friend. Despite spending nearly 10 months waiting for a family, Thelma hasn’t lost her joyful spirit.

Her happiest moments are spent splashing in the pool, chasing the hose, and soaking up every bit of fun she can find. She walks beautifully on a leash, loves being around people, and has the sweetest, most loving personality.

Thelma deserves more than a kennel. She deserves a couch to nap on, adventures with her family, and a place where she finally belongs. She deserves to know what it feels like to be chosen.

Please don’t let her spend another day wondering when her turn will come.

ADOPTION ANNOUNCEMENT!! Tonto- aka Arlo is officially off the market! 🎊🎉🐾🙌🏻 We are so incredibly happy for our sweet boy that he found his forever with an amazing family! Happy life, sweet boy we love you! 😘
