Some celebrations are worth reliving ☕🇵🇭

It’s been a couple of weeks since the grand opening of Barako Coffee Shop, and we’re still thinking about the incredible energy, warm hospitality, and overwhelming support from our Filipino-American community.

Congratulations again to Susan and Rupert on this exciting new chapter! It was inspiring to see so many community members, organizations, and local leaders come together to celebrate another Filipino-owned business opening its doors here in Arizona.

If you haven’t had the chance to visit Barako Coffee Shop in Downtown Mesa yet, be sure to stop by, grab a cup of coffee, and continue supporting! Here’s to many more milestones ahead 🎉

Celebrating our heritage, together 🇵🇭✨

Honorary Consul Jenny Ho-Vijungco was honored to join the 128th Philippine Independence Day Celebration hosted by the Council of Filipino Organizations (CFO) and grateful for the opportunity to speak on the significance of this historic day for the Filipino people.

One of the most meaningful parts of Philippine Independence Day is seeing our community come together in celebration of our shared history, culture, and identity. From supporting local vendors and community organizations to enjoying cultural performances and connecting with fellow kababayan, the day was a beautiful reminder of the strength and vibrancy of the Filipino community here in Arizona.

As we reflect on the sacrifices and resilience of those who came before us, we also celebrate the generations who continue to carry our traditions forward and strengthen our community both here and abroad.

A heartfelt thank you to the Council of Filipino Organizations, the volunteers, performers, vendors, and community leaders who helped make this year’s celebration so special.
