Leg 19 Team Utah P2P Arrowhead to convention center!

And we made it!!!!! So cool to be here FINALLY! It was a great day with only 20 miles and all of it was on a bike trail or on the most smooth road I think I have ever been! It was like Butta!!We rode with Team West Coast for the entire ride which was fun to be in a group that large for the day. We went 17 miles to a park about 3.5 miles from the convention center. We met Team Route 66 there. It was great to see more friends from Barcelona and meet new friends too!

We had a police es**rt for the last leg of the ride. It was so cool to have about 300 people there to cheer us on!
Thank you to everyone who helped us get through this incredible but difficult journey! I will never forget it and I will always be grateful for all of your support! I love you all!!

Leg 18 Team Utah Wickenburg to Arrowhead

I was nervous about today because I woke up around 1 am with a cramp in my left leg and shin splints in the other. Plus I am just tired of getting up at 4 AM to get ready every morning essentially since Henderson. I was thinking I would probably just go twenty miles then call it a day. But I got up still very tired and sore and then, I got on the bike and I felt great! My only answer was that you guys all with your thoughts and prayers are what got me going today! So thank you to everyone for your support. It’s been amazing!

Melanie started us out at a great pace, pulling us along like a champ!

I felt really good today but the road was rough and a mess. Between Dave and I we had four flats! We also had to reposition once because of construction.

We enjoyed dinner with team west coast. It’s been great to get to know each of them and also getting to talk in person with good friends from Barcelona!

It’s been a great experience getting to know Steve, Richie, and Debbi! They have been great teammates and always keeping it real with great humor and supporting us all like we were family! Great memories!

Well, one more leg to get to the convention center for world Parkinson’s Congress 2026. We will be leaving the La Quinta Inn in Peoria at 6:30 and going to Indian school park just to the east of N. Central Ave. A lot of effort by a lot of really good people to improve awareness of Parkinson’s disease and the benefits of exercise to slow progression and improve daily symptoms

Leg 17 Team Utah Salome to Wickenburg.

It went well. We got two or three flats today so we were busy changing tires . It was a long straight road the entire way and not very pretty but it is the desert. Steve got attacked by a cactus and so Dave got to practice his surgery skills with long nose pliers! Then he got to perform similarly with said pliers on a thorn in Richie's tire. The picture of the trike on it’s side is them changing the tire not an accident.

Team west coast taught me macrame. Pretty funny if you ask me since all of us learning have PD

Leg 16 Team Utah P2P Parker to Salome
Today was a good ride. The last few days have been more cool than last week which is unusual but we’ll take any win we can get. Honestly the ride was not that scenic so the best part of the day was seeing some good friends from Team West Coast! They’ve been riding for 34 days! It’s been great to see friends from Barcelona and from our Zwifters ZWAP group. Some we are meeting for the first time! Steve arranged for all of us to eat together and then we had karaoke at the motel. Which in a tiny town like Salome I llthink we are doubling the population! I promise to have more pictures of us all tomorrow. I was honestly just having fun talking and catching up that I forgot to take pictures! Hahaha

The rooms are themed here and I’m calling mine ‘Merica!

Leg 15 Team Utah P2P Lake Havasu toParker

Today was a beautiful ride as we followed the Colorado River surrounded by beautiful Pinnacle mountains. We rode with Melanie for the first of the day and Dave joined us for the last half. I think I will let the pictures tell the story.

Shout out to Richie our resident Pirate fanatic! I think we have found his future vacation spot.

Leg 14 Team Utah P2P Needles to Lake Havasu

Yesterday we started out on Route 66 for about 10 miles. The last mile of which was the worst “paved “ road I have This morning we left needles California and our first ten miles were on Route 66. Hopefully you guys are having better luck on the route than we have. It’s so poorly maintained in California that it seems the last time it was paved was 100.years ago. Today we’re in lake Havasu. Tomorrow we have a rest day. We will hopefully take a picture of us all on the London bridge. It was taken apart in London brick by brick and transported here to lake Havasu and reassembled over the Colorado River.

Hope you are all doing well. ever ridden on! We then rode on the I40 for about 15 miles. I struggled again today but Richie and Steve were very patient with me and eventually I felt better. We go to meet Richie’s brother who met us along the route as we descended into Lake Havasu. We had a rest day today which was great!

Dave and Mel and I went and took pictures of the famous London Bridge. It was taken apart in London brick by brick and transported here to lake Havasu and reassembled over the Colorado River.
