Far West Pop Warner has been serving West Valley cities for over 40 seasons. Pop Warner Associations such as Far West cover a certain geographical area and are part of our Arizona Youth Football Federation. Currently there are over a dozen Associations that belong to AZYFF. Far West serves a large geographic area that covers parts of Avondale, Goodyear, Phoenix, Glendale, and Buckeye. Pop Warner i

s an all volunteer league and volunteer coaches are selected and approved by the Board of Directors in the spring, then fingerprinted and background checked. Signups begin in April for the upcoming season and in late July teams are formed based on age, weight, and geographic location. Once teams have formed, practices begin the first week of August. Games start the last weekend of August and are played on Saturdays at a variety of sites around the Valley. The season includes playoffs for an Arizona State Championship and an opportunity to continue all the way to Florida for Nationals. Arizona has produced only one National Champion, the Far West Jets. Far West teams play generally play their home games at Youngker High School in Buckeye.
