🎀 EARLY DETECTION MATTERS. ACCESS TO CARE SAVES LIVES. 🎀

Every year, millions of people receive mammograms, but too many face additional testing and uncertainty without the financial resources to take the next step.

No one should have to choose between their health and their household expenses. Every woman deserves access to breast health screenings, timely follow-up care, and the peace of mind that comes with knowing her options.

🩷Let’s turn awareness into action:
✨ Encourage regular breast health screenings.
✨ Share resources for affordable mammograms and follow-up care.
✨ Advocate for equitable access to breast cancer detection and treatment.
✨ Check on the women you love—and remind them to prioritize their health.

Early detection is important, but access to follow-up care matters, too. Together, we can help close the gap so that financial barriers do not stand between women and the care they need.

🎀 DON’T FAIL THE GIRLS. EARLY DETECTION MATTERS. 🎀

Breast cancer does not discriminate by age, and young women are not immune. 🩷Too many women under 50 believe they are too young to be at risk, but awareness, education, and early action can make a difference.

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, let’s encourage the women in our lives to:
🩷Know their family history and personal risk factors.
🩷Become familiar with how their breasts normally look and feel.
🩷Speak up about changes or concerns and seek medical guidance.
🩷Discuss appropriate screening options with their healthcare providers.
🩷Share information that could help save a life.

Don’t wait. Don’t assume. Don’t ignore the signs. Be proactive about your breast health and encourage your daughters, sisters, friends, and sorors to do the same.

🩷Protect your health. Know your risk. Advocate for yourself.

🌸💚 WHAT ARE THE MIDTERM ELECTIONS? 💚🌸

🗳️ Your Vote. Your Voice. Your Future.

You’ve heard the term midterm elections, but do you know what they mean and why they matter? 🇺🇸

Midterm elections take place halfway through a president’s four-year term. Voters have the opportunity to elect members of Congress, state and local leaders, and, depending on the state, weigh in on ballot measures that can directly impact their communities.

From education and healthcare to the economy, public safety, and voting rights, the decisions made by elected officials affect our everyday lives!

🩷💚 Alpha Alpha Iota Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® encourages everyone to:

✨ GET INFORMED — Learn about the candidates and issues on your ballot.
✨ MAKE A PLAN — Check your voter registration and know your voting options.
✨ SHOW UP — Make your voice heard at the ballot box.
✨ SPREAD THE WORD — Encourage family, friends, and community members to participate.

Remember, your vote is more than a ballot. It is your voice, your power, and your opportunity to help shape the future of your community.

🌸 Be informed. Be engaged. Be empowered. VOTE! 🌸

Books build people. People build stronger communities.

The freedom to read helps ensure that our young people can discover stories that reflect their experiences, learn from perspectives different from their own, and better understand the history that has shaped our communities.

This week, we encourage every NPHC Council and member organization to use the power of our collective voice to read, learn, engage, and advocate.

Our Stories. Our Voices. Our Right to Read.

🎀 BREAST CANCER AWARENESS | HEALTH EQUITY MATTERS 🎀

During Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re reminded that access to quality breast care should never depend on where you live, what you earn, the language you speak, or the color of your skin.

Women can face barriers including:
🩷Limited access to care
🩷Financial challenges
🩷Cultural and language differences
🩷Lack of breast cancer awareness and education
🩷Racial, ethnic, and social inequities

Early detection can save lives. Let’s break down barriers, increase awareness, encourage regular screenings, and make sure every woman has the information and care she deserves.

🌸 Knowledge is power. Access is equity. Early detection matters.

🎀 Breast Health Matters: Know Your Risk. Know Your Body.

During Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re shining a light on an important breast health disparity: Hispanic and Latina women are often diagnosed with later-stage breast cancers, potentially due in part to delays in follow-up care after an abnormal mammogram.

Early detection can make a difference🩷

✨ Schedule your recommended mammogram.
✨ Follow up promptly after an abnormal screening.
✨ Ask questions and advocate for your health.
✨ Encourage the women you love to do the same.

Let’s make breast health a priority—not just this month, but all year long.

🎀 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month 🎀

This month, during Hispanic Heritage Month, we shine a special light on Latinas and breast health. Early detection can make a difference, and knowing your family history, understanding your risk, keeping up with recommended screenings, and talking with your healthcare provider are important steps.

🩷Know your screening options.
🩷Encourage the women you love to do the same.

Let’s break through fear, misinformation, and barriers to care by sharing resources and encouraging conversations in our families and communities.
