AZ Weimaraner Rescue AZ Weimaraner Rescue is a non-profit group that is dedicated to educating prospective owners and matching abandoned Weimaraners to quality, loving homes.

Arizona Weimaraner Rescue is affiliated with the Coalition of All Breed Rescue of Arizona (CABRA), a non-profit corporation organized for charitable purposes. It's member rescues are dedicated to rescuing and finding good homes for purebred (and mixed breed) dogs. Rebecca Kapp heads the Arizona Weimaraner Rescue
and is president of CABRA and the Phoenix Field and Obedience Club (PFOC). Because of

her passion and dedication, hundreds of very fortunate families and Weims have been united. Rebecca has been "saving the lives" of these wonderful animals for over 30 years. She has touched many hearts and souls of families and Weims by providing the dogs great homes, and the adopting owners the incredibly rewarding joy and unconditional love in return.

Hi! My name is Apollo, a two-year old Weimaraner male. My family came here from out of state and had to move into an apartment. Apartment life is not for me, so my family decided it would be better for me to find another home. I travel well, am house broken and crate trained (although I don’t like to stay in a crate all day). I have good manners, love to go for a walk and like to play outside. I’ve lived with small children and I do well. I would love to meet you. I’m Jasper, a 4-year-old male Weimaraner. When I arrived at the shelter, I was in bad condition, but thanks to the generosity of many people who support rescue, I am now healthy. I have limited vision that requires eye drops and a yearly eye exam.

I am ready for my forever home. I am good natured, curious, house trained and crate trained. I travel well and have a bit of a silly side.

Hello! I’m Juliette, a 3 ½ year old blue Weimaraner, looking for a forever home. Upon arrival at the shelter I was severely underweight. A trip to the specialist discovered that I have severe food allergies. I have gained weight and feel so much better!

I am shy when I meet someone for the first time but warm up and show my good nature. I am friendly, happy, like belly rubs, get along with other dogs and LOVE having a bath. I am learning to walk on a leash. I have to stay on a special diet, but if you can provide patience and consistency, I will be a wonderful addition to your family! Noticing all the lost pet ads out there and concerned about your own pet? Do something about it. The Coalition of all Breed Rescue of Arizona, a nonprofit IRS 501(c)(3) dog rescue organization is having another low cost microchip AND vaccination clinic on Sunday September 13 from 9:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the U of A Maricopa County Coop. Extension building on 4341 E. Broadway in Phoenix (roughly 43rd place and Broadway and by the traffic light). Check out the cost saving benefits below:

HomeAgain microchip including registration is only $20 each. We think HomeAgain is the best.
Vaccinations (parvo/distemper, rabies, or bordatella) are only $15 each if the dog/cat gets a microchip or has one ($20 each if they don't). We do have the cat equivalent of distemper shots at the same prices.
NO office visit charge. You only pay for shots or chips.
Open to general public. Anyone can come
NO appointment necessary. Just come on over.
Accept cash, checks, debit, or credit as payment
We use a licensed vet for the microchips and shots.

Microchips are increasingly being cited as the basis for getting lost pets back to their owners. Microchipped pets have been returned years after being lost and because of a microchip NOBODY thinks their dog is going to get out and get lost but the pound is full of those dogs. Even the best owners can lose a dog.

Don't wait till your pet gets lost to think about microchipping. At these prices you don’t want to risk it.

If you are looking for a dependable pet or house sitter, Paula Veak and Tracey Snyder would love to help. As a mother-daughter team, they offer excellent availability. By staying at your home, your pets can maintain their usual routine in a familiar environment. Please note that they are currently booking for stays of four or more days in either Phoenix and surronding cities, Casa Grande or Tucson.

Paula and Tracey have over 10 years of pet-sitting experience, and Tracey has fostered and adopted multiple dogs through AZ Weim Rescue. They are experienced in caring for cats, fish, birds, and dogs of all sizes. Due to recent cancellations, Tracey is now available in August, except from August 22nd through August 24th.
