Online women's support group!

Our new virtual APDA Women’s Support Group is launching this month! 💙 If you’re a woman living with Parkinson’s disease, you don’t have to navigate the journey alone. Join a warm, supportive space created just for women where you can connect with others who truly understand.

This free monthly group is a place to share experiences, explore ways to maintain quality of life, and build resilience and purpose — whether you’re newly diagnosed or have been living with PD for years.

đź—“ Meets the 2nd Thursday of every month at 6 PM Eastern Time

To register, email facilitator Elizabeth Van Roten, MSW, LCSW at [email protected].

“You don’t have to have it all figured out—you just have to keep adjusting.”

Parkinson’s is always changing. The way we respond can, too.

In this episode, "How Protein Affects Parkinson’s Meds and More" of The Parkinson’s Podcast, we explore how to:

• Stay engaged in what matters most
• Adapt as symptoms evolve
• Build resilience over time

Living well isn’t about getting it right—it’s about continuing forward.

Some of the most challenging aspects of Parkinson’s aren’t always visible.

Changes in mood, sleep, and cognition can have a major impact on daily life—but they’re often harder to understand and manage.

On May 8, join our Live Well Today webinar featuring Dr. Joanne Hamilton, a neuropsychologist, and Dr. Greg Pontone, a neuropsychiatrist.

Together, they’ll:
• Clarify the differences between their specialties
• Explain common non-motor symptoms of Parkinson’s
• Share practical, actionable strategies you can use right away

This session is designed to help you better understand what’s happening—and feel more equipped to navigate it.
