✨ “I didn’t just need sobriety… I needed Jesus.” ✨

For years, Ashley’s life was marked by addiction, homelessness, broken relationships, and repeated incarceration. She tried recovery and experienced seasons of sobriety, but something deeper was still missing.

Then, while in prison, Ashley stopped running from God and surrendered to Him. 🙏
Through Along Side Ministries, she found biblical discipleship, a faithful mentor, loving accountability, and a Christ centered community that began helping her rebuild her life from the inside out.

Today, Ashley no longer defines herself by addiction, prison, or the mistakes of her past.
Her identity is found in Jesus Christ. 💙

Since finishing the program, Jen has faithfully served the Lord and the people around her. She was recently seriously injured in a car accident while on her way to a women's retreat. She's just got home to Phoenix with her husband, Steve, to begin a long recovery.

June was never going to fix everything.

Restoration is real. Renewal is real. But not everyone who started this month ends it with the breakthrough they were praying for. Some are still waiting. Some are still in the hard middle. Some had setbacks they didn't see coming.

Jeremiah knew that too.

He wrote Lamentations 3 sitting in the rubble of a destroyed Jerusalem — not after the dust settled, not from a place of arrival. From the middle of devastation.

And from there he wrote this:

*"Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness."*
— Lamentations 3:22–23

Not "great was Your faithfulness, back when things were good."

Great is. Present tense. Right here in the rubble.

His mercy isn't new every morning because everything worked out. It's new every morning because that is who He is — regardless of where we are.

We pray this over everyone closing out June carrying something heavy:

Over the man still inside who prayed for restoration he couldn't yet see.
Over the family still waiting for a relationship to come back.
Over the person in the first hard weeks after release.
Over the one who had a setback and is wondering if the story is still going.

His compassions never fail. Great is His faithfulness.
The mercy is new tomorrow — whatever tomorrow holds.

**Pray This With Us**

*"Lord, You are faithful in the rubble and faithful in the rebuilding. I don't have to be at the end of the story to trust You in the middle of it. Your mercy is new tomorrow. That is enough."*

The hardest part of restoration is the part in the middle.

Not the moment you decided to change. Not the day everything comes together. The long road in between — where the past is still loud and the future isn't clear yet.

Paul knew that road.

"Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal." — Philippians 3:13–14

He didn't write those words from a place of arrival. He wrote them from a prison cell.

He wasn't telling us the past doesn't matter. He was showing us it doesn't have to lead.

At Along Side Ministries, we walk with people in that middle place — not just at the beginning of the journey, and not just at the end, but in the long hard stretch where most people stop showing up.

Pray this today:
"God, I release what I cannot change. I fix my eyes on where You are taking me. Give me the courage to press on from exactly where I am."

Eddie Mitchell’s testimony is a powerful reminder that no life is beyond the reach of God’s mercy, restoration, and amazing grace. What began with hardship, poor choices, and prison was not the end of his story. Through surrender to Christ and the faithful support of Along Side Ministries, Eddie found hope, healing, and a renewed purpose. 🙏
