For the independent teams and Deaf organizations with teams who are going to USADB/NDBO? All they need to fill out THREE (3) forms;

For the teams who are going to USADB, there is no deadline date due to the fact that USADB has NOT posted their deadline date to register(usadb.us/pressbox/national/2022tournament/). Per their website, it still says "Coming Soon!" under Team Registration. Once USADB posts their deadline date for the teams to register, it is more likely that the first TWO (2) FAAD forms (Team Registration Form and Membership Form with the payment of $25.00) will be due two (2) weeks before their deadline date. We will keep all of you POSTED once we find out.

REMEMBER: The $25.00 fee is for the entire TEAM, NOT $25.00 PER PLAYER.

The Annual Board of Directors (known as Delegates) meeting will be held on March 12, 2022, at 1 PM PST via Zoom.

The Board approved to postpone the membership forms' and membership fee's deadline date to March 11, 2022.

Want to join but don't have a team or organization?? You CAN! All you need is to do is fill out two (2) forms;

Hello everyone!

We hope all of you are healthy and staying safe during this crazy pandemic!

We would like to apologize for postponing the Annual Board of Directors (known as Delegates) meeting on February 26, 2022, due to unexpected medical-related emergencies among the officers.

Good news!! We have updated information on when the Annual Board of Directors meeting will be held and certain deadline dates postponed.

There will be separate posts on each updated information, making it easier for all of us to follow what has been updated or not. There will be working links directly to FAAD's required forms in a post or two.

Thank you for your constant support of this OG organization. We look forward to continuing to serve all of you; players, coaches, statisticians, managers, delegates, and fans.

****IMPORTANT****

The Board encourages the existing and new teams to participate in a regional tournament that is outside of the FAAD region, such as NWADB, SWBAD, MAAD, CAAD, NEAAD, and SEAAD. As well, participate in one or both national tournaments, USADB and NDBO.

FYI, EAAD is not hosting a tournament this year for the same reason as FAAD's.

For FAAD teams who plan to participate in the region/national tournaments, you will need to contact [email protected] about completing specific forms to be able to participate.

The form(s) are due by February 18 and/or February 20, 2022, depending on which form is due.

WARNING: If you did not contact us before submitting the form(s) for USADB and/or NDBO, they will inform you to contact FAAD first to get the approved permission to play in a tournament that is outside of the FAAD region or bypass. Also, anyone in your team must be in good standing to be on the official roster.

****ATTENTION****

FAAD is not hosting our Annual Basketball Tournament on March 4 - 5, 2022, due to the current pandemic.

****GOOD NEWS****

The Annual Board of Directors meeting is still on. It is scheduled a week before the tournament's date, Saturday, February 26, 2022, at 1 PM PST via Zoom. The purpose of having the Annual Board of Directors meeting a week before the tournament date is to allow the coaches and players to focus 100% on their games instead of having politics interfering the day before the beginning of the tournament.

The Board approved the opportunity of having an individual membership effective from March 2022 to March 2023 only. This is a unique opportunity to accommodate the current pandemic for the Annual Board of Directors meeting via Zoom.

Anyone residing in the Farwest Region and any Free Agents who played in one of FAAD's tournaments in the past is eligible to be a member and delegate of FAAD from March 2022 to March 2023 by filling out the membership form with a membership fee of $25.00. The membership and delegate forms are due by February 18, 2022.

NOTE: In the delegate form, there is a backup delegate option. That is for the teams who are participating in a tournament outside of the FAAD region and/or the national tournament(s) only. Type or write N/A if you are not in a team on both forms.

A friendly reminder for those Delegates who were on the list of March 2020 to check your email from FAAD Secretary-Treasurer, Larry DeVenney.

The Delegates’ meeting is coming up soon on March 13th at 1:00 p.m. PST.

The meeting will not start without the Delegates that already paid their FAAD membership fee for this year 2021 - 2022. The deadline to pay the FAAD membership fee is before or on March 12th at 5 p.m. PST. The Delegates must take care of this since several immediate issues need their approval to make changes on how the Annual Regional Basketball Tournament in 2022 will be, sponsors, the locations, and many more! If you know who the Delegates are, please contact them and encourage them to respond to the email that was sent to them on February 1st and attend this meeting.

If your team's delegate is unable to attend this Delegates Meeting, you can be the delegate for your team as long as your name is on the team roster of FAAD's 2020 Annual Regional Tournament. If you are interested, please comment below or send us a message via Facebook or email.

As well, there are two (2) positions, Commissioner and Secretary-Treasurer up for an election. If you are interested or know someone interested in those positions, please comment below or send us a message via Facebook or email.

FYI, if the Delegates' meeting doesn’t happen due to insufficient numbers of Delegates attending, the current Commissioner (Nancy Gonzalez) and Secretary-Treasurer (Larry DeVenney) positions will be ACCL (automatically) elected regardless. They will serve another term of two (2) years.
