Congratulations to Mesa natives Aaron Watkins and Jesse Mueller who made Phoenix proud this past weekend by placing at the U.S. Open. Watkins impressed us as he finished in 15th and Mueller finished the tournament tied for 51st. You can check out The Arizona Republic's article on the event right here, by clicking on the provided link.

Good luck to Arizona Sports Hall of Famer Bob Baffert at the this weekend!

Baffert's horse Bodemeister is a favorite at Churchill Downs this weekend. Bob's horse Liason will also be competing for the roses at the derby this weekend.

Baffert was inducted in 2010 along with long time friend and legendary U of A Basketball Coach Lute Olson, U of A basketball standout Sean Elliot, softball pioneer Billie Harris, and golf great Billy Mayfair.

Good Luck Bob!

We recently received word from our social media trivia challenge winner on his experience at the 2012 Arizona Sports Hall of Fame ceremony!
“My experience at the Arizona Sports Hall of Fame event was AMAZING!! It was truly an honor to meet all the inductees and the Phoenix Regional Sports Commission staff. Everyone was really nice and made me feel welcome. One of the my highlights was meeting Jake "The Snake" Plummer who was my all time favorite ASU Quarterback and meeting former Angel and GCU Alum Tim Salmon. Thank you to everyone at the Phoenix Regional Sports Commission for giving me an opportunity to attend this special once in a lifetime star studded event. It was truly a blessing to be the social media trivia challenge winner!” – 'kc' Cusack

Thanks Kevin! We were glad to have you, and pleased you had an awesome time!
