Artistic Reason AZ

Artistic Reason AZ *Artistic Reason AZ was born out of a passion for humanity, social justice and art, by 2 AZ Activists: Emcee VPROLIFIC and Danielle Nieto.

Artistic Reason AZ is a local grassroots movement that brings music, visual, and performing artists together to advocate for social justice and community needs through artistic expression. As a real Hip Hop emcee VPROLIFIC is bringing AZ hip hop back to a higher level thru his lyrics and community activism. Danielle, a community activist and social worker teamed up with VPROLIFIC to bring her pass

ion of advocating for social justice and art together to create change.

*Advocating for Social Change, Integrity, Edutainment, Progressive Education, and Civic Engagement are its 5 core values. As time progressed we have become a socially concious artist community who fights for social justice thru the arts.

*Together we reach concensus as a team on which artists will join us in addressing issues such as: homelessness, hunger, poverty, womens issues, global economics, breast cancer, domestic violence, drug and gang involvment, migrant rights, childrens rights, educational rights and any other issues that face our communities. Our intention is to use our art in positive way to build the ideal society for our children, our neighbors children and the generations to come.

*Artistic Reason AZ is a 100% grassroots movement that works collectively together to achieve its goals of artistic outreach. We are always looking to work with like minded individuals who want to team up and be the change they want to see.

This is a tribute acapella verse from the song WE CAN GET DOWN by Phife Dawg, with A Tribe Called Quest. May Malik Isaac Taylor, aka Phife Dawg, Rest In Peace! His legacy will forever be implanted in Hip-Hop culture.

According to multiple sources, Phife struggled with diabetes and poor health since the 90’s. What was the cause of it? I have no idea, I never had the honor in meeting him in person. Could have been hereditary, could have been something else.

Too many times our people are being murdered by our own health. Bad health in America is at its highest. Bad health can be prevented on most occasions, with better eating and daily exercise. In America, I believe there are 4 main reasons for bad health:

1. Mental health.

2. Lack of exercise and choice in foods. i.e. Corn syrup, GMO’s, lack of vegetable consumption, over consumption of meats, etc.

3. Social Economics.

4. Hereditary.

It appears healthier eating is far more expensive. However poor healthy eating in the long run is far more expensive. In other parts of the world I believe deep rooted poverty, is the first reasoning for bad health. I myself am working on sustaining my health. My biggest issue is lack of daily exercise. I am working on it though!

In the words of Dead Prez “Be Healthy Y’all”!

Peace.

I am your Earth, you are my seed, and as the Sun as my witness; I will do everything within my soil to nurture you.

I will love you, I will teach you, I will protect you, and even discipline you when it's needed.

There will be times mommy will cover your eyes, and ears. Please trust mommy when she does this, for I am preparing you for the world. One day mommy will not be around to do this, and you will hear and see things that cause you discomfort, sadness and even anger.

This will be your signal; to walk away from things, and people that serve you no loving purpose, and or stand up for things, and people you love.

Good night my precious seed, get some rest, for tomorrow is another day.

We celebrate Dia De Los Mu***os, in honor of the love and memory of our family and friends that are no longer with us but live through us and their contributions. The beauty of this celebration, is the understanding of balance. Life and Death are equal and occur in our daily lives. I first thank our creator for giving us this balance and thank our ancestors, grandparents and parents for teaching us this balance.
On November, 1st 2014 we celebrated Dia De Los Mu***os at Goodyear Farms Historic Cemetery. On behalf of Ballet Folklorico Eperanza and myself, we thank those who are buried at Goodyear Farms Historic Cemetery, as well as their families for allowing us to celebrate Dia De Los Mu***os with them. This was Ballet Folklorico 6th Annual Dia De Los Mu***os Festival and we look forward to the 7th.
To our audience, thank you for coming out! We hope you enjoyed Ballet Folklorico Esperanza’s 6th Annual Dia De Los Mu***os and would like to see you next year. You did great with dancing and partaking in the celebration. You're contribution was greatly felt and appreciated.
To our volunteers, you're great! Thank you very much for being the back bone of Dia De Los Mu***os, you kept our body together. Volunteers don't get paid, not because they're worthless, but because they're priceless.
Below is a list of support for Ballet Folklorico Esperanza' 6th Annual Dia De Los Mu***os.
Individual commitment to a group effort - that is what makes a team perform, an organization perform, a society perform, a civilization perform. Thank you all for your support and performance.
