Today is National Clothing Insecurity Awareness Day.
Imagine sending your child to school in shoes that hurt because they're too small, or worrying that classmates will notice they've worn the same outfit several days in a row.
For too many families, these aren't hypothetical situations.
2 in 5 children in the US experience or are at risk of clothing insecurity. Today, we're helping shine a light on this often-overlooked basic need.
At Delivering Dreams of Arizona, our mission goes beyond providing clothes and shoes. Through the Delivering Dreams Bus, children have the opportunity to shop for items they like, choose what feels like them, and leave with something just as important as the clothing itself: Confidence. Choice. Dignity.

Tomorrow is National Clothing Insecurity Awareness Day. We talk often about food insecurity and housing insecurity, but there is another basic need that too often goes unnoticed: clothing.
In the United States, 2 in 5 children experience or are at risk of clothing insecurity; meaning they may not have access to clothing that fits properly, is appropriate for the season, or is in good condition.
For a child, that can mean going to school in shoes that are too small. Wearing the same clothes again and again. Or feeling embarrassed and different from their classmates because they don't have what they need. 💙 Help us spread awareness by sharing this post.

A big thank you to the Arizona Young Credit Union Professionals for spending time with us in the warehouse yesterday! Their team jumped right in assembling hygiene kits and helping process clothing items that will soon make their way to children throughout our community. We're grateful for their time, energy and willingness to serve. Volunteers like these help keep our programs moving and making a meaningful difference behind the scenes. Thank you Arizona Young Credit Union Professionals for being part of the Delivering Dreams of Arizona mission.
