It’s Election Day!

The success of dozens of bonds and overrides that will bring critical funding into our schools depends on voters like you.

If you didn’t get a chance to mail your ballot last week, polls are open from 6 am - 7 pm today (that’s six to sevvvvvven for our middle-school educators).

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona is excited to launch our Adopt-A-Family Holiday Giving Program! This annual tradition helps bring joy to children and families in our mentoring program who may need a little extra support this holiday season. When you sign up for Adopt-A-Family you will be matched with a family and given their wishlist for the holiday season.

There are many ways to get involved:

Adopt-A-Family: Receive a family’s wish list and shop for gifts, essentials, and holiday cheer. Sign up by October 20, 2025. Deliver wrapped gifts directly to the family by December 15, 2025, or to the BBBSAZ office by December 10, 2025.

General Gift Donations: Host a toy, book, or clothing drive (new or gently used items, unwrapped). Deliver items to the BBBSAZ office by December 10, 2025.

Gift Card Donations: Provide $25+ gift cards for groceries, gas, rideshare, food delivery, etc. Deliver to the BBBSAZ office by December 10, 2025.

Lifestyle Essentials Drive: Collect hygiene products, paper goods, and other household necessities. Deliver to the BBBSAZ office by December 10, 2025.

IDEA Bond-Override Canvass

Public schools cannot afford to lose any more funding. That’s why we’re teaming up with the Isaac School District Education Association (IDEA) for Community Canvasses every Saturday morning in October to help pass the Bond and Override.

This election is critical to ensuring student success and employee retention for years to come. By spending just an hour or two with us, you’ll help educate voters and make a real difference.

✅ It’s easy—most homes just need a flyer dropped off.
😊 If someone answers the door, they’ll be glad to meet you!
👥 You won’t go alone—you’ll be trained and paired with others.
🕣 All canvasses begin at 8:30 AM.
