Woodland Community Garden

Woodland Community Garden This is a co-op community garden for the common good of Woodland Historic neighborhood and the greater downtown area.

The garden was started in 2011 to help bring beauty to the downtown historic Woodland Neighborhood and to make available healthy organic to those who live and work in the neighborhood. We love to share our extra produce with our neighbors and especially our friends who are homeless. The community gardeners tend their plots with organic methods—growing a combination of vegetables, herbs, and flower

s. We are actively developing the space so that it will contribute towards building a strong united community who are working for the common good of downtown Phoenix

WOODLAND COMMUNITY GARDEN WORK DAY:

Are you interested in learning more about the Community Garden? Do you want a great way to meet some of you neighbors. Well come out this Saturday February 17th between 9am-12pm.

You will have an opportunity to learn about the history and vision of this garden that has been in our neighborhood for over 7 years. And also find out how you can be involved in the garden. There are several options of involvement: Joining a monthly work day, using the space for a community gathering, rent a plot to grow your own, flowers, herbs, or vegetables. Garden plots can be rented for $5-10$ a month. This Saturday We will have a general garden clean up getting ready for the Spring Gardening Season.

If you cannot make it this Saturday but are interested in being involved or learning more you can contact Ryan Thurman @ 602-791-4892 or [email protected]
