A heartbreaking story out of an Ohio high school cafeteria — a student died after shooting herself in front of classmates. Officials say it happened at Valley Forge High School, and she later died.

It’s hard to process. And even harder to understand. But before judging, pause.

You never know what someone is carrying. Please pray for her family, her classmates, and anyone silently struggling right now.

On Monday, LeAnn Hull, CEO of Andy Hull’s Sunshine Foundation, testified before the Arizona House Safety & Law Enforcement Committee on HB2665 — Cade’s Law.

This bill expands awareness around online exploitation that can contribute to the death of a minor.

That is not dramatic language. That is reality.

During her testimony, LeAnn said something every adult needs to hear:

Words matter.

Kids are watching us.

They see how adults treat one another online. The insults. The public shaming. The threats. The pile-ons.

And they learn from it.

When teenagers watch grown adults attack others on social media with little accountability, what message does that send?

That it’s normal.

That it’s acceptable.

That there are no consequences.

Online exploitation does not grow in isolation. It grows in a culture where cruelty is tolerated and amplified.

Cade’s Law is about awareness. Education. Prevention.

If you care about protecting kids in digital spaces, this matters.

What happened in Israel may seem far away, but pain has a way of reaching across the world. Another young Israeli—someone who survived the Nova music festival—took his own life this week. He carried the weight of what he’d seen until he couldn’t anymore.

Stories like his remind us why Andy Hull’s Sunshine Foundation exists. Because behind every smile, someone might be struggling. And sometimes, all it takes is a kind word or a simple reminder that they’re not alone.

💛 For the Families. For the Survivors. For Those Still Waiting. 💛

So many who lived through October 7th are still carrying pain that words can’t touch. Some are grieving. Some are waiting. And too many have lost the strength to keep going.

Every story we hear is a reminder that trauma doesn’t end when the headlines fade. Healing takes time, love, and community — and for some, just knowing they’re not forgotten can make all the difference.

From all of us at Andy Hull’s Sunshine Foundation, our hearts are with the families of the hostages, the survivors, and every person still trying to find light in the dark. You matter. Always. 🌻
