Hon Kachina Awards

Hon Kachina Awards The Hon Kachina Volunteer Awards recognize the achievement of outstanding Arizona volunteers and increase public awareness about volunteerism.

The Hon Kachina Volunteer Awards recognizes the achievement of outstanding Arizona volunteers and increases public awareness about volunteerism. Beginning in 1977, the Hon – or healing – Kachina Volunteer Awards was originally conceived and presented by the Hon Kachina Council to honor people making significant volunteer contributions to the healthcare field. This program is an extension of the ri

ch heritage of volunteerism provided by Vitalyst Health Foundation in Phoenix. In 1980, the scope of the program was expanded to include volunteer efforts in all community service areas. Vitalyst Health Foundation has generously underwritten the administrative costs associated with the coordination of this annual event. Proceeds generated from the event are divided equally between the honorees and the nonprofits for which they volunteer.
