Wildlife for Tomorrow (WFT)was created in 1990 to enhance the management, protection and enjoyment of Arizona’s fish and wildlife resources. The Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that works closely with the Arizona Game and Fish Department to provide additional support for projects and education activities where traditional resources are not adequate. WFT’s efforts focu

s entirely on worthy projects within Arizona and no funds are passed on to national offices or to projects in other parts of the country. WFT does not participate in or attempt to influence regulatory, management or legislative decisions, nor does it take a position on controversial or value-sensitive issues. Its single purpose is to support important and worthy projects that make a difference to the wildlife and people of Arizona. Through WFT, individuals, businesses and organizations can participate in projects to benefit all of Arizona’s fish and wildlife and the habitats upon which they depend. These projects include habitat improvement, youth and adult education, research and wildlife protection activities.

Today we were reminded that conservation work is rarely black and white.

Wildlife for Tomorrow supports science-based wildlife management and the protection of Arizona’s native habitats and species. In many areas across the state, unmanaged wild horse populations are contributing to significant habitat degradation, placing increased pressure on already limited resources and impacting native wildlife.

At the same time, moments like this remind us that compassion remains at the core of conservation.

One of our board members recently came across a horse entangled in barbed wire fencing. Without hesitation, he stepped in and was able to safely free the animal.

This moment reflects an important truth: responsible stewardship means addressing complex challenges with both integrity and humanity. While we continue to advocate for solutions that protect Arizona’s ecosystems, we also recognize the value of individual action and care for all animals sharing these landscapes.

Conservation is not about choosing sides. It is about doing what is right - for wildlife, for habitat, and for the future of Arizona.

The Wildlife for Tomorrow Conservation Cup II was a huge success! We couldn't have made it happen without the generous partnership of Rio Ammunition.
Let's face it, saying "pull" and then yelling "BANG" doesn't break a lot of clays. It's much more fun, and successful, with quality ammunition. Thank you RIO!!!

Arizona became the 48th state on February 14, 1912.

114 years later, we are still the most biodiverse non-coastal state in America. Arizona’s wild beauty is unmatched.

Happy Birthday, Arizona.

Cheers to another 114 years of conserving your beauty!
