Archway Veritas - a Great Hearts Academy A Great Hearts Academy: Archway Classical Academy | Veritas is a classical, liberal arts elementary school in central Phoenix.

Great Hearts Archway Veritas

At Archway Veritas, we strive to instill in our students a scholarly rigor imbued with delight. In an age of pedagogy that reduces all intellectual joy to utility, we seek just the opposite. Archway students are taught by men and women who model a love of learning for its own sake and who work to cultivate in their students a disposition to the True, the Good, and the Beautiful, wherever these may be found. Here, your child is introduced to the great Western intellectual tradition, not the latest technology. But we desire even more than that, for education alone cannot make a child thrive.

Our 6th Annual Great Hearts, Great Books Day was another GREAT success!

The costumes were amazing, and the creativity was on full display! Reading is even more fun when you get to dress up as your favorite character and bring the story to life. What a wonderful celebration of books, imagination, and the joy of reading!

Learning science beyond the classroom! Today, students brought their science unit to life with an up-close look at animals during their field trip to Wildlife World Zoo. After learning about animal life cycles, traits, and variations, students had the opportunity to observe these concepts firsthand!

This month in the Athenaeum After-School Program, scholars were transported to Medieval Times. They were immersed in activities based on tapestries and stained glass, the Canterbury Tales, and medieval-themed games. They also contemplated how knighthood and acts of chivalry required a great deal of courage, the virtue of the month.
Next month, scholars will have an uplifting month of “Twists of Fall” where they will encounter many seasonal favorites.
