Today, our Phoenix office welcomed Donna McCullough, Chief Operating Officer of the Alzheimer's Association, for a conversation with our staff and volunteers. ๐Ÿ’œ

We spent the time looking ahead together and talking about how our work here in Phoenix connects to the bigger picture, and what the next 10 years can look like as we move closer to a world free of Alzheimer's and all other dementia.

That future isn't built by one office or one team, it's built by staff and volunteers across the country, showing up every day for the families we serve through care and support, research, advocacy, and education.

We're grateful for the visit, and energized for what's ahead. Thank you to everyone who makes this mission possible. ๐Ÿ’œ

๐Ÿ’œ Big thanks to our friends at Edward Jones!

๐ŸŽ‰ Cosponsor Spotlight: Representative Susie Lee

Thank you for cosponsoring the Alzheimer's Screening and Prevention (ASAP) Act! This legislation will help accelerate access to routine Alzheimer's blood tests, giving families and physicians a faster path to diagnosis and care.

Early detection matters. Thank you for standing with Nevada families affected by Alzheimer's and dementia.

Meet Debi Bour, Event Experience Chair for the 2026 Walk to End Alzheimer's โ€“ Quad Cities ๐Ÿ’œ
Debi's mom, Nancy, was a lifelong seamstress โ€” the kind of person who could alter a dress in her sleep. So when Nancy, at 60, couldn't figure out a simple alteration for her daughter, something felt wrong. A neurologist told the family it was depression, not dementia. Years later, it became painfully clear: he was wrong.

Debi's family leaned on the Alzheimer's Association to ask the right questions, plan care, and find support groups โ€” resources she now walks to fund, so other families don't have to navigate this alone. This year marks her 13th Walk.
Her advice for anyone caring for a loved one with dementia:

๐Ÿ”— Start at 10signs.org if you're wondering whether a loved one may have dementia.

๐Ÿค Lean on support groups and family โ€” you don't have to do this alone.

๐Ÿ“ Make a list of what would actually help you right now, so when someone offers, you're ready to say yes.
"Asking for help allows others to be loving and kind towards you." โ€” Debi Bour
