It’s $5 Friday for Phoenix! 🐦‍🔥

Phoenix was found wandering in the road in 110° heat, caked in dirt and mud, and unable to properly use one of her legs. 💔😢 She was terrified of anyone getting close, but after a hot dog and lots of coaxing, she was finally SAFE. 🌭

After a much-needed bath, she came inside, curled up on a soft bed in the A/C, and slept peacefully for hours. 😴 For the first week, she was too scared to go back outside, almost as if she thought she might be left out there again. 🥺

We soon learned that her leg had an old, untreated injury that affected her growth plate and left her with a frozen joint. Unfortunately, it causes her a lot of difficulty and will need to be amputated. Once she is free of it, she will zoom around easily!

Phoenix is the sweetest, happiest girl who LOVES LOVE. 💕 She adores all of the dogs and cats in the house and wants to play with everyone! It’s only been two weeks, but she has already made SO much progress. 📈 We can’t wait to watch this sweet girl continue to grow and finally live the happy, pain-free life she deserves! 😍

👑 Queen Bee of the pack, Trixie doesn’t let her short stature prevent her from keeping all her royal subjects in line! She rules the roost, loves to play, and is always at the center of the nonsense. She keeps us laughing nonstop, and we hope she finds her Most Loyal Subjects (aka her loving family) soon. 😆
