Where Hope Lives is a comprehensive in-house program that provides victims of human trafficking and those in crisis pregnancy with access to everything from food and clothing, to medical and behavioral health care including individual and group counseling, as well as educational, vocational, and legal services. The purpose of Where Hope Lives is to rescue trafficking victims and offer them hope an
d a way off of the streets. Upon entering the program, victims rest, shower, and eat while our dedicated staff begin to address their medical, physical, and emotional needs. Once a point of stabilization has been reached, the young women enter into the four pillar program of Where Hope Lives. The program model utilizes an independently tailored four phase system allowing residents time to rebuild their foundation by practicing a regular routine, obtaining personal identity documents, creating long-term and short-term goals. and making decisions about their next steps. Each pillar is strategically themed for an aspect of healing that leads them towards a fully restored life in the community. Each phase is also timed according to the speed at which each young woman learns and progresses. During the final phase, the program charts a course of graduating and exiting the program while moving towards re-entry back into a healthy role in the community. We recognize that rescuing and helping to rebuild the lives of girls and young women alone will not in itself turn the tide on human trafficking. That is why Where Hope Lives is also driving a three-tiered approach to prevent the epidemic of human trafficking through awareness, advocacy, and training.
