Pregnant and postpartum minors in federal immigration custody deserve safety and access to essential healthcare.

Recent reports raise serious concerns about the transfer of pregnant unaccompanied minors to detention facilities where reproductive healthcare access is severely limited.

We must advocate for policies that:
• Protect pregnant and postpartum individuals from prolonged detention
• Ensure access to comprehensive and confidential healthcare
• Prevent transfers that jeopardize medical care
• Uphold the dignity and safety of all people in immigration custody
