The VMLC mourns the passing of Colonel Bruce Crandall, Medal of Honor recipient and cherished friend of our organization.

Colonel Crandall’s courage, his dedication to his fellow Soldiers, and his lifelong commitment to those who served were an inspiration to everyone fortunate enough to know him. His friendship and support of the VMLC’s mission meant more to us than words can fully express.

Our deepest condolences go out to his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Rest easy, Colonel.

We are honored to share that the VMLC has been awarded a $7,500 grant from Season For Sharing in support of our Returning Warrior program.

This grant is a direct investment in Arizona Veterans facing critical moments in their lives. The generosity of organizations like Season for Sharing makes it possible for the VMLC to step in quickly when a Veteran needs help most.

To the Season for Sharing team, thank you for believing in this mission and in the Arizona Veterans we serve together. 💙

Today, we remember the men and women who gave everything in service to our country.

Memorial Day is a solemn reminder of the cost of freedom and the lives lost protecting it. We honor their sacrifice, carry their legacy, and remain committed to supporting the Veterans who are still with us.

We will never forget.

Last year's Heroes Gala was an unforgettable night and we are already looking ahead to making 2026 even bigger.

Every year, the VMLC Gala brings together donors, advocates, and supporters who believe that no Arizona Veteran should face crisis alone. The energy in that room is a direct reflection of what this mission means to the people who show up for it, and the impact it creates lasts long after the evening ends.

Don't miss your chance to be part of it. The 2026 VMLC Heroes Gala is coming to the Arizona Biltmore on November 13, 2026, and tickets and sponsorship opportunities are available now. Secure your seat here, or at the link in our bio: https://e.givesmart.com/events/NHN/ 💙

This is what stopping the spiral looks like in real life.

When bills stack up, when a vehicle is on the verge of repossession, when the lights are about to go out, the weight of it all can become unbearable. For this Veteran and his family, timely intervention from the VMLC and their VA social worker made the difference between despair and stability.

Stories like this one are the reason the VMLC exists. Every donation, every sponsorship, and every share of our mission helps ensure that Arizona Veterans in crisis have somewhere to turn when they need it most.

No Veteran should ever face that moment alone. 💙

Behind every Veteran stabilized, every eviction prevented, and every crisis met with support, there is a group of dedicated individuals working to make it possible.

The VMLC board of directors brings together leadership, heart, and a commitment to ensuring that Arizona Veterans in crisis are never left to face it alone. Their guidance and dedication are what allow this mission to move forward, grow stronger, and reach more Veterans every year.

To our board: thank you. The work you do is felt by every Veteran we serve.

Army Veteran Stan Miele is taking on the Arizona 75 Challenge to raise funds for the VMLC!

On May 12, Stan will ride 63 miles through Arizona and finish with a 12-mile ruck march carrying a 35-pound pack.

Every mile is in support of Veterans facing financial crisis and the programs working to prevent Veteran su***de.

Supporting Stan’s challenge helps fund the VMLC’s work providing direct assistance to Arizona Veterans when they need it most.

If you believe Veterans should never have to fight alone, his mission is worth supporting. Donate here, or at the link in our bio: https://givebutter.com/ygRvKg

Five million dollars. That number represents evictions prevented, utilities kept on, vehicles repaired, and Arizona Veterans stabilized at the moments that mattered most.

Since the inception of the Returning Warrior program, the VMLC has provided over $5,000,000 in direct assistance to Veterans in crisis, and none of it would have been possible without the donors, sponsors, and supporters who believe that no Veteran should face crisis alone.

With your continued support, the next milestone is already within reach. Donate today: https://arizonavmlc.org/donate/
