Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh, Arizona USA Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (HSS) USA is a voluntary, non-profit, social and cultural organization.

Sangh is inspired by the idea that the whole world is one family and conducts activities across the United States in order to spread this message widely. Sangh in the United States started in the early 1989 and today has over 250 weekly meeting centers (shakhas) across the country.

The Hindu Community in Arizona with the volunteers of Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh USA and celebrated - Teacher veneration during the celebration of Teachers Appreciation week.

Guruvandana , an event to celebrate our teachers , appreciating them for their service to build a better America and Americans , honouring them for their dedication and service to our American societies.

With over 400 attendees , 4 events celebrating 79 Teachers and Professors , Guruvandana in AZ was a celebration in 4 different events. The Hindu YUVA at ASU , Hindu Students Club in ASU celebrated it with the Professors of ASU in attendance whilst the Guest of Honour was Prof.Sethuraman Panchanathan (Dr.Panch),Professor and foundation chair in the School of Computing and Augmented Intelligence At Ira A.Fulton School of Engineering at ASU . The Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh USA Chapters in Peoria , Phoenix& Scottsdale and the East Valley celebrated Gurus and Teachers of their neighbourhood. Volunteers put on skits , dance , vocal and instrumental performances , enthralled the community.

The event in East valley was graced by Mayor Kevin Hartke , Hon.Mayor of City Government of Chandler, Arizona. He was the Guest of Honour and addressed the gathering at the event.

Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh in Arizona wishes to thank each and every teacher who attended the event , our Guests of Honour and the community in attendance and everyone of our karyakartas Adult and Child that were a part of this celebration.

Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (HSS) in Peoria, Arizona proudly participated in Earth Day and National Volunteer Week 2026 by undertaking a meaningful community service initiative. As part of our commitment to seva and civic responsibility, volunteers of HSS Jijamata Shakha adopted a one‑mile stretch of Vivekananda Marg and carried out a thorough road clean‑up drive.
Inspired by Swami Vivekananda’s message of service and by the values that guide HSS, volunteers of all ages came together to keep our surroundings clean, beautiful, and environmentally conscious. This effort reflects our belief that caring for the community and the planet is an essential expression of our dharma.
Through this initiative, HSS in AZ reaffirms its dedication to nurturing responsible citizens, strengthening community bonds, and contributing positively to the place we call home.

In East Valley, Kesari shakha hosted Honorable Matt Orlando, council member, City of Chandler. He explained much in detail how city has supported vibrancy and has successfully made it an ideal microcosm of the American spirit

Recently, members of the Hindu community in the valley and volunteers of ,Arizona (HSS) donated proceeds in the form of food items at Nishkam Seva Gurdwara Sahib as a part of Sewa Diwali food donation drive.
is a nationwide effort by Hindu , Dharmic and Indic organizations to eradicate Hunger in our American communities , the proceeds collected are used in our own and nearby communities and neighborhoods.
Culturally, Sewa or Service is an integral part of the Hindu Dharma and this effort accentuates the need to serve our own communities for the larger well being of our societies .

As we conclude the 19th year of Surya Namaskar Yajna, we are happy to share that Arizona Vibhag will be organizing the Samarop at two locations, for everyone’s convenience.

🗓️ Surya Namaskar Yajna started on 14th January 2026, and during this period we successfully conducted:

* 2 Adhiktam Sankhya Divas
* Nationwide Sevika Leher

Sankranti marks the Sun’s northward journey, symbolizing renewal, discipline, and the victory of light over darkness.
This sacred transition reminds us of our deep connection with Surya, the eternal source of energy and life.
In this spirit, HSS proudly announces the 18th edition of the Suryanamaskar Yajna (SNY).
SNY is a collective initiative that unites physical fitness, mental focus, and spiritual awareness.
Through the disciplined practice of Suryanamaskar, we express reverence to the Sun while nurturing holistic health.
This yajna encourages participation from individuals, families, and communities alike.It reflects the timeless Hindu principle of harmony between body, mind, and nature.
