MORE: The ASU Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) collegiate chapter is a professional organization created to help our undergraduates and graduates learn about fundraising as a career path and philanthropy in general. This organization is ideal for those men and women planning to enter the field of nonprofit development and management. ASU's AFP is also perfect for those who want to increase their knowledge and know-how of fundraising to bring to their own fields, such as, but not limited to, education, social entrepreneurship, and nursing. Throughout the year, students learn and network at monthly AFP luncheons, listen to relevant guest speakers, and finally, brainstorm and participate in the yearly Philanthropic Project. This collegiate chapter partners with the local AFP chapter, the "Greater Arizona" AFP chapter, which introduces us to local professionals for networking and mentoring opportunities. We are also affiliated with the national/international chapters of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, which represents 33,000 professionals around the world. Erika Karner, 2016-2017 AFP at ASU Collegiate Chapter President
