And then we tell stories to ourselves again at night. We're heavily influenced by songs, books, and movies. Don't believe me? Think about the way you drove your car home from the latest Fast and the Furious movie. A little faster. A little sharper. A little more wide-eyed. See what I mean?With that in mind, stories should be more than play, don't you think? If stories influence so much of who we are, we need to get better at recognizing them. We need to get better at telling them. Then we can leverage the power of story in our lives. Speaker Bio: Shawn's been working with freelancers, entrepreneurs, and artists for more than 20 years. He’s consulted companies large and small on storytelling, social media, and marketing strategies. He’s presented to groups large and small, from local small-business events to international marketing conferences. At heart Shawn’s in it for the underdog. He believes that striking out on your own is one of the most courageous and world-changing moves anyone can make.
