"Let the water settle by itself"

The 2024 Season proved to a be a challenging one in more ways than one. I don't think the team has ever gone through more trials of friendship, comaraderie, commitment, hardships and just about every challenge you can imagine with 40+ students all thinking in their own unique way to achieve the same goal. Win.

With that being said everyone thinks they're ideas could be better than others, some fight for their voice to be heard, others do what they feel they need to get their point across. Robotics wouldn't be robotics without atleast 3-5 ideas and voices behind those ideas all trying to prove their better than the others on a daily basis.

As the lead coach of Team Paradise 1165, I wouldn't have had it any other way. The amount of counseling, advice and rationalizing and problem solving I guided my students through was even beyond what I thought I myself was capable of. Getting to grow and learn alongside my students so I could be better for them as we all showed positivity and unwavering effort during these long 10 challenging months, has made this my favorite year being part of the Team Paradise Family.
From members to parents and everything in between thank you for the challenges and opportunities to grow for my kids. Yesterday at the ARL Championship I saw all that growth and commitment demonstrated as I never once saw my students give up or not give their best effort even when running on fumes. "My kids are the best representation of a REAL FRC Team ❤️.

We didn't win a Regional, State or ARL Championships but we gave our best effort during all 10 months together, more than 45 hours of travel from our workshop to competitions and community outreach, 3 regionals, 7 off season events, 41 days of competing, over 820 hours of meetings, 10 competitions and 133 matches (72-61).

This is why I will once again with a smile on face, head held high, and admiration filling my heart for my Team Paradise 1165 family will proudly and officially declare we have accomplished ANOTHER WINNING SEASON.

Thank you to all my VOLUNTEERS, ALUMNI, MEMBERS, PARENTS and MENTORS for being a part of this WINNING SEASON.

See you all in 2 months for an even better season❤️

Your Lead Coach,
Chef Ramos.

These past 2 weeks have been an amazing reminder as to why I coach Team Paradise 1165.

This past week we had many new members join us because they heard the team is an unrivaled experience at PVHS for fun, teamwork, innovation, determination, acceptance, support, respect, success and community. My veteran members knew what they had to do the moment new members walked through our doors.
My student leaders eagerly jumped into action to guide all of the new members to feel welcomed and inspired the way they did when they first joined.

Yesterday the collective determination and hardwork of my new year members, veteran members, alumni, parents and mentors paid off. We took 4 robots (still most of any team) allowing my new members to get to stand behind the glass and be up close to the action. Our main robot consistently scoring 9-12 notes and having one of the most consistent Autos, making it one of the most offensive robots there and 2 of our other robots placing top 15 out of 36 was incredible.

What made yesterday so amazing was the incredible enthusiasm and Gracious Professionalism demonstrated by the Team Paradise 1165 Family
To the point where it was pointed out to me by many spectators, volunteers and mentors of other teams.

Thank you Team 8-Bit and CocoNuts Robotics - FIRST Robotics Competition Team 2486 - Flagstaff, AZ
For being amazing alliance partners choosing to play with us through a very exciting playoff run. After losing our first match we strategized and regained our composure and determination, which allowed us to continue the playoffs undefeated to overcome the 1st, 3rd, and 4th alliance made up of some of Arizona Robotics League best competitors to win the 4th Qualifier.

Thank you for allowing Mr. Ruiz and I to be your coaches. We look forward to our next 3 competitions between Sept/Oct with an amazing team
